Meet the Team

My name is Mel Biggs, and I am a Real Estate Agent, OWNER, and CEO of The Biggs Group with LPT Realty. My family and I moved to Idaho Falls 8 years ago. My background includes extensive experience in Real Estate, Finance, and Marketing. I have relocated seven times in the past 13 years and have become quite the relocation expert!

My husband’s job has led us to three countries and three states and a lot of change! I took a leave of absence from my Financial Manager career to stay home with our children. We have settled here in East Idaho, and I decided to join the Real Estate Profession here. I have helped many people with relocation throughout our travels and have continued to assist these last eight years in East Idaho. I decided a few years ago that I could further assist by putting my years of experience back to work.

Group with LPT Realty. Nearly 12 years ago, a career opportunity at the Idaho National Laboratory brought our family to Idaho Falls. I know exactly what that move feels like because I’ve lived it.

Before landing in East Idaho, our family’s career had taken us across three countries and three states. We lived abroad, rebuilt our routines from scratch more times than I can count, and learned how to turn a foreign address into a real home. By the time we moved to Idaho Falls, I had become something of an accidental relocation expert—not by training, but by necessity.

What I didn’t expect was how much I’d fall in love with this place.

East Idaho surprised us. The people, the landscapes, the close-knit communities, and the proximity to some of the most spectacular outdoor recreation in the country completely won us over. We planted roots here, and this is home.

Over the past 12 years, I’ve made it my mission to help other INL employees and contractors navigate the move to East Idaho with as little stress as possible. I know the commute corridors. I know which neighborhoods are closest to the schools where your kids will thrive. I know the questions you’re going to ask before you even ask them—because I asked them all myself when we arrived.
